For more information, visit www.meda.org. **Job Details** Job Status: Full-time, 5 YEARS Location: Washington, D.C area preferred, however, flexible on location. **Position Summary** The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will play a critical leadership role in advancing a USAID-funded project in Haiti, aligning strategic vision with USAID objectives and MEDA’s mission. Reporting to the Chief of Party for MEDA's Haiti IJI Activity, the DCOP will oversee all aspects of program design, implementation, and monitoring, ensuring compliance with USAID guidelines and MEDA policies. The DCOP will lead partnership development, stakeholder coordination, and technical interventions to enhance market systems, particularly in agriculture and other economic sectors. By conducting market systems analyses and implementing strategies for value chain development, the DCOP will foster inclusive, efficient, and sustainable economic growth. Key responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating program activities to incorporate lessons learned, ensuring security protocols and risk mitigation, and building the capacity of local partners and market actors. The DCOP will also advocate for policy changes to support inclusive market systems, provide technical support in areas such as financial inclusion and sustainable resource management, and represent MEDA in high-level engagements with USAID, the Haitian government, and other stakeholders. **Qualifications** * Master’s degree or equivalent in business, finance, international development, or a related field. * At least 10 years of progressively senior management experience in international development, including 5+ years on projects of similar size and scope, ideally USAID-funded. * Experience as a Deputy Chief of Party on USAID projects is highly preferred. * Demonstrated knowledge of USAID rules and regulations; familiarity with other large donor programs is a plus. * Proven track record in managing USAID-funded projects. * Background with large contractors like Chemonics or DAI. * Exposure to backstopping programs for major USAID initiatives. * Familiarity with USAID compliance, reporting, and operational standards. * Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with governments, donors, and local partners. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience building capacity among diverse teams. * Fluency in English and excellent written and oral communication skills; French fluency is required, and Haitian Creole is highly preferred. * Successful candidate should have demonstrable experience in market systems development, value chain development of market facilitation for trade. Experience in market systems work focused on agriculture is a plus. * Ability to integrate technical insights into project management. * The candidate should also have experience working on projects that target small and medium enterprises in the Global South and/or the Caribbean. * Experience working in Haiti is an asset. * There is potential for travel to Haiti, Port-au-Prince depending on security situation.  To apply, please submit your **CV**.
