**About the role**
CPI serves as the secretariat for the CC Facility which is a joint partnership with Convergence Blended Finance as well as the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance. The CC Facility helps the most innovative blended climate finance structures become investable solutions that can be standardized, replicated, and scaled. Similarly, The Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance identifies, develops, and launches innovative finance instruments that can drive billions in private investment to action on climate change and sustainable development.
As an intern dedicated to the CC Facility and the Lab, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the selection of state-of-the-art blended finance solutions geared towards climate action in developing economies. You will collaborate with a world-recognized team on cutting-edge initiatives driving the transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient world.
**Responsibilities:**
* Work closely with Programme Associates on the selection process for the CC Facility.
* Efficiently collect and analyse application pipeline data for actionable insights for the CC Facility.
* Facilitate Investor/Proponent matchmaking for the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance.
* Assist in producing high-quality reports, executive summaries, blogs, and presentations for the CC Facility Learning Hub.
**Qualifications We're Looking For:**
* Passion for the environment and commitment to our mission.
* Pursuing or recently completed a master’s degree in economics or finance (preferably an MBA).
* Working knowledge of domestic and international issues pertaining to climate finance.
* Basic familiarity with blended finance structures such as guarantees, insurance, concessional debt/equity, and technical assistance.
* Proactive, organized, and effective time manager.
* Initiative-taker who values autonomy who seeks guidance as needed.
* Detail-oriented approach to research and data analysis.
* Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce and edit high-quality products.
* Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel, and quick to grasp new software.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Adaptable and professional at all times with an enthusiasm for working as part of a team, and an ability to interact with a diverse array of people.
